Much to anyone living in Northeast Ohio area the Cavs have to wait yet another year to bring home a trophy. How can the best team in the league not make it to the final? How did the best team in the league with the two time MVP not make in to the final? From a Nuerolinguistic Programing (NLP) standpoint it is really quite simple. The Cavs and their coaches are more than able to physically beat any team in the NBA however their inner game is lacking. You see just like any one of us working through some personal goals while we have the ability on the outside, we do not have it on the inside. We need to build up the inside to match the outside.
What am I talking about here? in NLP we talk about congruency. The power lies in being congruent. Have you ever gone to a corporate meeting and the speaker was saying something and they came across like they were trying to convince themselves? This happens quite a bit when there is some change. Have you ever seen a television interview and the person being interviewed answered in the positive but shook there head in the negative? In the instances their physiology was not congruent. Try this right now. Articulate the word "Yes" a few times while at the same time shaking your head "No" How does that feel? A little off balanced isn't it? This is what happens when you are not congruent. That is what happened to the Cavs. They need to get their inner game congruent with their outer game. Clearly they had the outer came but because they were not congruent on the inside they could not deliver consistent good results.
As individuals it would do us well to check out congruency with any major project or goal that we are working on. With NLP that can be done very easily. With NLP you can get your body and inner language to match thus making you congruent. When you are congruent you have unlimited power to get things done. Unlimited power to get your goals. Unlimited power to get whatever you want.
